No sharp fret ends, no nasty dents or scratches on guitar, no sloppy workmanship... guitar wasn't ready to be played out of the box tough, but what do you expect after it had traveled half the globe? (from USA to Germany to Slovenia)
Guitar plays great, pickups sound really good too (I actually prefer open pickups - I removed pup covers on all my Les Pauls) and dot inlays are a great addition. I've been looking for a Paul with dot inlays for quite some time actually. Maybe you'll disagree with me on this one and maybe I'm crazy - who knows.
However I did take the guitar to a local tech for a setup: I like higher action and heavy gauge strings - I play rock/metal/hardcore and to replace the stock nut with a bone one. Maybe I'll change out stock tuners for locking ones some time later.
All in all - this is a great workhorse guitar. Just what I needed!
